Master arm
One switch for the whole kit. Armed means the mint lamp is lit and pages are being restyled. Standby leaves every page as its author shipped it, settings intact.
Gloamkit is installed and already armed in Auto. Nothing else is required. Four steps below get you from default to calibrated.
Open the extensions menu in the toolbar and pin Gloamkit. The kit diamond stays in reach.
Alt Shift T master arm. Alt Shift S cut out the current site.
Tabs opened before install are not yet under the kit. Reload them once.
Open module M3, arm the schedule, enter your dusk and dawn marks. Then forget it.
Four modules, top to bottom. The bezel at the top is the master arm; everything below it is scoped to the site you are on.
One switch for the whole kit. Armed means the mint lamp is lit and pages are being restyled. Standby leaves every page as its author shipped it, settings intact.
The hostname the panel is acting on, with a switch to cut that host out. Cut-outs are permanent until you switch them back — useful for design tools and colour-critical work.
Pick Smart Dark, Auto or Smart Light, then trim brightness, contrast and sepia. Values are written against the current host the moment you release the needle.
Starting points that work. Adjust from here, not from zero.
Smart Dark · brightness 88% · contrast 100% · sepia 15%. Warm, low, easy on the eye.
Smart Dark · brightness 95% · contrast 110% · sepia 0%. Keeps code blocks crisp.
Smart Light · brightness 104% · contrast 118%. Pulls thin type off the background.
Cut the host out with Alt Shift S. Everything else stays armed.
Known limits first, then where to send it.
The tab was open before install — reload it. Browser-internal pages
(chrome://, the Web Store) are protected by Chrome and cannot be restyled.
Lift contrast first, then brightness. If one component is still wrong, cut the host out rather than fighting the dials.
Check that M3 is armed and that dusk and dawn are both set. The kit uses the machine's local clock, so verify the system time zone.
